So… I haven’t gotten around to putting up the last 2 weeks of training. What’s new 😉 I’m kidding…I’ve been a little busy. And a little lazy. Anywho….I just wanted to post before I head to the Big Town of Duluth for the big day! Grandma’s Marathon! I’m excited, a lot nervous, excited to spend some time with my sis, and not so excited to drive through road construction most of the way up there. Oh well. We get used to that. Did you know that in Minnesota Road Construction is actually one of the seasons? Fun fact huh?
The Big day is approaching, I feel ready. My left leg is certainly letting me know that it’s a little iffy about this whole 26.2 mile thing, but I’m confident we’ll make it. I did get a nice email from Grandma’s Marathon today stating that the current weather conditions are in the RED zone. Nice. Not because of the heat, but because of the forecasted humidity. Yep, that’s right. It’s only supposed to have a high temp of 70. However, storms are supposed to roll in and that means the humidity, especially with Lake Superior RIGHT THERE will probably be about 150%. Good thing I’ve been running in humidity for the last 3 months! This body is used to sweat, humidity, and a little breeze from time to time (Ok…most of the time!). So, I’m not letting that red zone freak me out. I’m ready!
Let’s do this!!! I got this 😉
